Location: Location: Offshore Location Viosca Knoll 823 - GoM Water Depth: 1,130 FSW
Total Virgo platform sustained severe damage to facilities in both hurricane Ivan and Rita, RCI provided project management and inspection services on both occasions with the goal being a timely and safe repair to bring this critical facility back into production.
Project Management Scope of Work:
- Manage and inspect the repairs and / or modification of the Viosca Knoll 823 (Virgo) Facility. The damage included electrical, instrumentation, generators, piping, structural and process and utility vessels
- Detailed onsite survey to ascertain and document all damage
- Develop a detailed scope of work and schedule
- Preparation and issue of all requests for proposals
- Review and make recommendations for received proposals
- Prepare cost tracking and invoice approval procedures
- Design engineering consultation and management of all contract engineering work required
- Perform weekly executive summaries, schedule updates and cost reports
- Commissioning of platform following repairs
- Ensure all documents (“as-built” drawings, vendor manuals, specifications, procedures, invoices, certifications, regulatory documents, testing forms, commissioning reports and sign-offs, start-up records, etc.) were compiled, inspected, accepted, and issued
- Liaise with both Total E&P USA and Duke Energy Field Services Risk Management / Loss Adjustor groups for assistance with documentation associated with any insurance claims
Inspection Scope of Work:
- Inspect materials as needed at various fabrication yards
- Inspect fabrication of new build equipment
- Inspect repair of facilities on site and coordinate construction crews
